I have been plotting and planning since the return from the Canadian Expedition in August 2010 to try and find the next adventure and have finally committed to a 4 day yomp from coast to coast 82 miles along Hadrian’s Wall between Christmas and New Year, fundraising for LINC (Leukaemia and Intensive Chemo Cheltenham) once again.

As you settle in for the Queen’s speech, re-runs of Only Fools and Horses, comparing tank tops and enjoying the company of family and relatives, spare a thought for my lonely traverse of the northern wastes, and as the rain/snow falls and the temperature drops I will be spending the short daylight hours tramping this ancient trail.
